JMD Selected to Lead Revision of China’s National Standard for Perfect Bound Books

JMD has been selected as the leading organization for the revision of China’s national standard Requirements for Perfect Bound Books, further recognizing the company’s long-term contribution and technical expertise in the field of perfect binding and post-press manufacturing.

The first meeting of the standard revision project was recently held at JMD’s headquarters in Shenzhen, organized by the National Technical Committee on Printing Standardization (SAC/TC 170). Industry experts and representatives from leading printing companies gathered to discuss the framework, technical requirements, and future direction of the updated standard.

Driving the Future Development of Perfect Binding Standards

During the meeting, Zheng Bin, Chairman of JMD, expressed his appreciation for the trust and recognition from the standardization committee.

He emphasized that the revision of the national standard carries significant responsibility and should reflect the future development direction of the printing industry.

The updated standard will need to align with international standards while addressing key industry trends, including:

  • The growing requirements of digital printing
  • Green development and energy-efficient production
  • Environmental sustainability
  • The advancement of intelligent manufacturing

According to Zheng Bin, establishing a high-level standard requires long-term industry experience, technological innovation, and a forward-looking understanding of future manufacturing trends.

30 Years of Expertise Supporting Industry Development

JMD’s involvement in the development of perfect binding standards is built on decades of experience.More than ten years ago, JMD was invited to lead the development of the original Requirements for Perfect Bound Books standard, contributing to the improvement of binding quality requirements and process specifications in China.
