JMD Installation in IVE

IVE Group installs first JMD Digital FoldLine 180 in Australia

IVE Group has installed a JMD Digital FoldLine 180 at its new Kemps Creek production site in Western Sydney — the first installation of the system in Australia, and the start of a new partnership between the two companies. The news was reported by Sprinter, in a story first published in the October 2026 issue of ProPrint.

The FoldLine 180 is a roll-to-book-block system for digital inkjet book production. Operating at up to 180 m/min, it folds, cuts, stacks and glues the printed web into complete book blocks ready for perfect binding — well suited to fast-response, print-on-demand production.

Before selecting the system, IVE carried out extensive due diligence, including visits to existing JMD installations and JMD’s manufacturing facility in China.

JMD project manager Falon Yi said the installation shows JMD’s digital finishing technology, “already proven in demanding production environments in China, can meet the requirements of a highly developed international print market,” and called it “an important step in strengthening JMD’s presence” in Australia and New Zealand.
