JMD signs digital perfect binding agreements with Phoenix Tongda and Fuchun Printing

Shanghai, China — October 13, 2026. Jiangsu Phoenix Tongda Printing Co., Ltd. and Hangzhou Fuchun Printing Co., Ltd. signed separate agreements with JMD for high-speed digital perfect binding line projects on the second day of All in Print China 2026.

The agreements were signed at JMD’s exhibition booth by Shi Lisheng, general manager of Jiangsu Phoenix Tongda Printing, and Luo Jianping, chairman of Hangzhou Fuchun Printing, together with Zheng Bin, chairman of JMD. The projects extend JMD’s work with Chinese publication and commercial printers investing in their finishing operations.

Phoenix Tongda builds on a partnership dating to 2016

Jiangsu Phoenix Tongda first installed a JMD Cambridge-12000 high-speed perfect-binding line in 2016 to support textbook production. The company added a second Cambridge-12000 in 2020 to expand its binding capacity.

The new agreement continues that relationship as Phoenix Tongda develops its high-speed digital perfect binding capabilities. Its investment history provides context for the latest project: a customer returning to JMD after operating two previous binding lines.

Fuchun Printing continues its investment in post-press production

Founded in Hangzhou in 1995, Hangzhou Fuchun Printing serves the publication and commercial printing markets. The company has continued to upgrade its post-press equipment in recent years.

Its agreement with JMD for a high-speed digital perfect-binding line forms part of that ongoing investment in finishing technology.

JMD’s wider perfect-binding and digital finishing portfolio

Its wider portfolio includes the Cambridge-12000, the fourth-generation Newbridge high-speed digital perfect-binding line with a production speed of up to 13,000 books per hour, and the Sunbridge-15000 with a production speed of 15,000 books per hour.

Support from equipment delivery to production

JMD plans to support Phoenix Tongda and Fuchun Printing from equipment delivery through production operations. The projects bring together JMD’s experience in high-speed binding and digital post-press workflows with each customer’s production requirements.
